On September 15, 2019, COERR Volunteers attended a meeting held in Chiang Rai Cathedral in which they shared the activities of COERR Volunteer Groups which has been established since the year 2000 by His Eminence, Cardinal Michael Michai Kitbunchu and Bishop Joseph Pibul Visitnondachai. The project is in progress that so far there are 104 volunteer groups, of 861 members, setting up in 6 dioceses, i.e.: Archdiocese of Bangkok and Tharae-Nongsaeng; Diocese of Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Udon Thani and Ubon Ratchathani.
On October 7, 2019, COERR Volunteer Committee of Catholic Church in Najarn Village, Nong Sanom Subdistrict, Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province, organized a meeting to follow up and evaluate the scholarship program through household livelihood program for needy schoolchildren. Most livelihood activities preferred by scholar children are animal raising such as chicken, pigs, fish, frogs, vegetable growing, etc.
COERR Volunteers provided animals, feed, know-how, advice and follow up the scholars’ activities. This scholarship program has objectives to encourage the needy scholars in the Archdiocese of Tharae-Nongsaeng, the Diocese of Chiang Mai, Nakhon Sawan, Udonthani and Ubon Ratchathani, to become self-help through livelihood activities while building up their volunteering spirit.
On August 2nd, COERR Volunteers in Huay Pong Lao Village, Mae Ki Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province visited a scholar family to provide necessary advice in chicken raising.
On August 5th, COERR Volunteers in Mae Khaw Village, Mae Ki Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province, visited a scholar’s family to see that their piglets raised since May were growing up.
On August 10th, 2019, COERR Volunteers visited the scholar children in animal raising at Pato Village, Mae Ki Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province.
On August 13th, COERR Volunteers in Huay Suem Village, Chaiyaphon Subdistrict, Bueng Kan Province’s Muang District, visited the child scholars in cat fish raising with their parents and grandparents’ help.
On August 13th, Huay Pong La Volunteer Group in Mae Ki Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province, visited to distribute hens for children to start hen raising program.
On August 19th, Tharae Village Volunteer Group in Sakon Nakhon Province’ Mueang District, organized a meeting to grant scholarship to children in Tharue and Galilee Communities to start the livelihood program.
On August 22nd, COERR Volunteer Group in Phon Sawang Village, Phon Sawang Subdistrict, Si Songkhram District, Nakhon Phanom Province, offered some eggs produced in their chicken rasing project as moral support for some elderly in the village.
On August 22nd, COERR Volunteer Group in Thabom Moo 8 Village, Khao Kaeo Subdistrict, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, organized a training to enable children in the village to know, understand and build volunteering spirit. Later, on October 4th, COERR Volunteer Group distributed cat fish, fish feed to the scholars and families to start the livelihood activities.
On August 28th, a visit was paid to the scholars’ livelihood activities by COERR Volunteer Group in Non Nam Thaeng village, Non Nam Thaeng Subdistrict, Mueang Amnat Charoen District, Amnat Charoen Province.
On August 29th, COERR visited Rev. Fr. Vinai Saen-ngam, who supervised Volunteer Program in Huay Leb Mue Village, Nong Dern Subditrict, Bung Khla District, Bueng Kan Province, to see his indegineous chicken raising and breeding farm in preparation to distribute to the scholars in this program, in addition to his regular visit to bedridden patients.
On August 29th, COERR Volunteer Group in Ban Nong Saeng Village, Wang Ta Mua Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, provided cat fish for scholars’ fish raising program.
On September 2nd, COERR Volunteer, Ban Najarn, Nong Sanom Subdistrict, Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province visited to follow up the scholars’ velihood activities.
On September 2nd, COERR Volunteer Ban Huai San Village, Huai Pha Subdistrict, Mueang Mae Hong Son District, Mae Hong Son Province, visited to see that the Nile Tilapia Fish raised by scholar’s were growing well.
On September 13th, COERR Volunteer in Ban Na Mon Village, Na Mon Subdistrict, Na Mon District, Kalasin Province, met to provide animal raising equipment to scholars.
On October 9th, COERR Volunteer, St. Jude Church, Chinnakhet, Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Lak Si District, Bangkok, provided vegetable seeds and gardening tools to the scholar and family.
On October 31st, COERR Volunteer, Ban Kham Village Group, Ban Kham Subdistrict, Muang Nong Bua Lam Phu District, Nong Bua Lam Phu Province, visited and provided fish for scholars to start livelihood activities in their household.
